Lexus LF-CC Concept debuted in force at the 2012 Paris Motor Show, a model that aims to prefigure a future coupe in the medium segment of the Japanese manufacturer’s range. The concept is built on the L-finesse design line, especially the huge highlighted front grille and aggressive lines, and will provide the basis of a future IS Coupe.

Lexus LF-CC Concept – Design, Interior, Engine

Lexus LF-CC Concept comes with an interesting architecture and features a rear-wheel drive and a hybrid powertrain that combines an electric motor with a brand-new four-cylinder 2.5-liter DOHC petrol engine. According to the official press release published by Lexus, the hybrid system succeeds to reserve to the Japanese model top performance and at the same time a low power consumption (CO2 emissions below 100 g/km).

Even if the numbers are not official yet we expect excellent results, while Lexus announces that the new propulsion system is already scheduled to reach production models “in the near future.”

At the aesthetic level, the Lexus LF-CC Concept is characterized by a 3D effect fluid grid, optical blocks represented by three LED projectors that don’t come with protective glass, but which are highlighted by boomerang shaped LED daylights that mimic the bottom of a classic car headlight.

The Japanese prototype’s profile is dynamic and aggressive, leading to an interesting sporty shape. Finally, The rear comes with characteristic L-shaped taillights for a Lexus car, but modernized and with a higher central stop integrated in the antenna placed above the rear window.

The interior of the concept vehicle is rich and nicely equipped with leather upholstery, metallic shades and aluminum pedals. There’s also an infotainment system, a digital console and a Start/Stop button.

The appearance of a series model based on the Lexus LF-CC Concept will take place within two years, and it will take over many elements from the prototype.
