Alfa Romeo MiTo SBK – Design, Interior, Engine
Alfa Romeo MiTo SBK Limited Edition is offered in only 200 copies, all being equipped with the 1.4-liter MultiAir engine of 170 hp. Customers can choose only between the black and red colors for the bodywork, while the ceiling can be black, red or white. From the front grille to the C-pillar is drawn a line that distinguishes these models from the rest of the MiTo range.
Alfa Romeo MiTo SBK Limited Edition has an aerodynamic package as standard, along with titanium alloy wheels with a diameter of 18 inches. The interior has many dedicated accessories such as Sabelt seats with carbon fiber elements and seat clad in Alcantara with red stitching. The gear shift lever and the steering wheel are also covered in Alcantara and have red stitching, and a numbered plaque on the dashboard which indicates the rarity of the model. The 170 hp engine ensures a time for 0-100 km/h (62 mph) in about 7 seconds and a combined fuel efficiency of 4.8 liters/100 km (58.85 mpg imperial, 49 mpg US).
The second special edition – Alfa Romeo MiTo SBK Special Series is offered with almost all engines in the range. Exceptions are the 1.4 units of 70 hp and 1.4 with 170 hp. The model takes a number of elements from the Limited Edition version, and has a lower price because the power is reduced and production is not limited to a number of units. For example, the 16″ alloy wheels are standard. The exhaust is chrome plated and the mirror caps are painted in titanium color. The bodywork presents a series of SBK logos. Customers can choose from black, red, blue and white bodywork, while the ceiling can be black, red or white.
The Alfa Romeo MiTo SBK Special Series interior: headrests with the SBK logo, black “carbonlook” dashboard, manually adjustable air conditioning, radio-CD with MP3 and leather steering wheel. Optionally, customers can order 17″ or 18″ alloy wheels, sport pedals, “SBK Limited Edition” stickers, a set of side skirts, sport air diffuser and red painted brake calipers.
