The star at Renault stand was undoubtedly the new Twingo. Although it was changed dramatically, we still recognize some elements from the previous generation. We are talking about the satellite control of the audio unit, some buttons on the dash and the center console, signal levers, the gearshift leaver and parking brake lever. Further, all items found are new and complement the five-door bodywork instead of three, which hides a propulsion system with rear-wheel drive and rear engine. The platform is shared with the future Smart ForTwo. Read all the details: 2014 Renault Twingo.

The all new Peugeot 108 shared its platform with Citroen C1 and Toyota Aygo, while the new 308 and 308 SW presented the EMP2 platform, their response to the MQB platform of the Volkswagen Group. As you can see in the pictures accompanying the Peugeot cars, they were so proud of their exhibits and of the “Car of the Year 2014” award obtained by the new Peugeot 308, the COTY logo being present almost everywhere, somewhere in the background of the majority images taken in their booth.

“Créative Technologie” remains the motto of the Citroen also in 2014, and the creation department of the French car manufacturer was very busy when it came to drawing concepts and developing series models. From the C4 Cactus crossover with its production version AirBumps, up to the Aventure concept – presenting an off-road hypothesis of the compact crossover, to the C5 CrossTourer, the French had an impressive list of novelties for a brand which is in financial difficulties.
