Following the 911 Turbo (pictured), the Germans will present a new model in their range – 2014 Porsche 911 GT2 Turbo, ready for a debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2014, while a year later will be presented the RS version.
2014 Porsche 911 GT2 Turbo – First info
The new 2014 Porsche 911 GT2 Turbo will be fitted with the 3.8-liter twin-turbo boxer engine borrowed form the 911 Turbo S, producing around 560 horsepower, supposedly to be more powerful than the new Porsche 911 GT3.
The powerful engine is combined with an automatic dual-clutch transmission. The new model will be able to make the 0 to 60 mph (100 km/h) sprint in about 3 seconds, while the top speed is over 200 mph (350 km/h).
In contrast to the four-wheel drive of the 911 Turbo S, 2014 Porsche 911 GT2 will have a rear-wheel drive layout, but it will be available in a directional transversal system.
A new Porsche 911 GT2 RS will be launched in 2015, expected to have a 630 horsepower engine.
