A game of light and color brought us in to the new 2013 Dacia Logan MCV. Dacia hasn’t deceived its audience expectations and came to Geneva with a premiere expected since the last year.
At the Geneva Auto Show, Dacia, the Romanian manufacturer brought a large audience on its stand. Even if the conference started really early in the morning, the people flocked to see the three pieces hidden under the sheets.
As anticipated, the new 2013 Dacian Logan MCV give up on two of the seven seats in the previous generation. It will only be available with five seats and will have the current range of Logan engines.
Dacia Logan MCV Design Changes
The new Dacia Logan MCV uses the front part of the new generation of models made in Mioveni while their profile and the back side are completely changed. With 4.49 meters long (about half a meter longer than Sandero), Dacia Logan MCV proposes a trunk of 573 liters (20.235ft³) in the five-seat configuration, the seats folding allowing transportation of up to 2.7 meters objects. The great news is the opening of the vertical tailgate, MCV thus avoiding the two previous binding doors. With this change, the Romanian model gets a more dynamic profile, the tailgate’s glass is tilted and more appropriate in the general aesthetic context of a break.
Five seats for 2013 Logan MCV
For its five passengers, the new Dacia Logan MCV prepared a lot of storage space, these totaling 16 liters. Thus, the small objects on board can be placed in front and rear door pockets, a pocket behind the seats, on the center console, or on the top of the dashboard. Another novelty that’s stating the membership of the Dacia break to the year 2013 is the textile roof of the loading area that can be rolled when needed. It will be optional, depending on the equipment version.
At the technological level, the new Dacia Logan MCV receives items that have appeared half a year ago on Logan and Sandero. It’s the Nav Media System with 7-inch touchscreen, a speed limiter and controller, assistance with parking sensors for the rear parking maneuvers. Safety – the Achilles heel for Dacia in recent years – is met by four airbags as standard (for the driver, the passenger and the front side). There is ESP and emergency brake assist, also in the standard version.
Dacia Logan MCV – Petrol, diesel, LPG
The engines are not a surprise. The fans of the petrol units will can choose between the classic 1.2 16v of 75 hp or the 0.9 TCe of 90 horsepower recently released. Of course, the usual 1.5 dCi can’t miss the call, which is available in two versions: 75 or 90 hp. On the 75 hp variant, Dacia promises a mixed fuel efficiency of 3.8 litres/100 km(61.90 US mpg/ 74.34 Imp. mpg). In addition, there will be a petrol-LPG option that will be available as an option and that is to meet the needs of approximately 10% of the Dacia customers who order this type of engine.
The new Dacia Logan MCV is gaining in dynamism, especially in the gently sloping rear window, but also by the attention given to the sidelines, whose typical treatment is also found on Duster and Lodgy. With this design, the New Logan MCV displays a modern look, without sacrificing the interior space. There is plenty of space and that can be seen!
