ABT Audi R8 GTR Live at Geneva Motor Show 2013
The Tuning House Abt Sportsline presented at Geneva Motor Show 2013 the new ABT Audi R8 GTR.
ABT Audi R8 GTR has as a basis the Audi R8 V10 Plus model. The standard car has a 5.2-liter engine developing 550 horsepower and 398 pound-feet of torque (540 Nm). In case of the ABT Audi R8 GTR model, the engine was upgraded by the Germans at 620 horsepower and 406 pound-feet of torque (550 Nm).
With this upgrade of power, ABT Audi R8 GTR accelerates from 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 3.2 seconds (from 3.5 seconds) and top speed of 202 mph (325 km/h) from 193 mph (311 km/h).
ABT Audi R8 GTR has a new styling package made of carbon fiber and includes new side skirts, a modified front and new rear bumpers, a wide spoiler and adjustable front splitter.
Thanks to these improvements, the total weight of the car is 1,515 kg (3340 lbs) being 11 kg (24.3 lbs) lighter than the standard model. Finally, we mention the stainless steel exhaust system, the 19-inch forged rims and the coil-over suspension with adjustable dampers.
