Geneva 2010: The Chevrolet Camaro is coming to Europe

The Chevrolet Camaro is not only in Geneva at the Motor Show, but brings a new interpretation of the legendary American sports car is actually in Europe. The launch of high-performance sports coupe and the convertible is planned for spring 2011. The new Camaro was launched in the spring of 2009 sold in North America to market and sold in more than 60 000 copies.

The 6.2-liter V8 engine with 313 kW / 426 hp develops a torque of 569 Newton meters and comes from the Corvette. In conjunction with the 6-speed automatic transmission, it provides 294 kW / 400 hp and 556 Nm. The engine has the fuel-saving Active Fuel Management system from General Motors, which shuts off four cylinders at low engine load.

The fusion of tradition and modernity was one of the key requirements of the design team of the new Camaro. It reflects only on the body again, but also in the interior. Pair of deeply recessed instruments with round gauges in square housings are linked with the classic Camaro from 1969. This is in contrast with the lighting package with advanced LED light pipe technology to the passenger compartment.
