2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee was launched at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show (North American International Auto Show – NAIAS 2013), representing a subtle facelift. This involves new optical blocks, LED taillights and a new multimedia unit.
Jeep Grand Cherokee is subjected to the traditional update of mid-career and debuted for the occasion in a whole new way, thanks to the changes introduced by the new facelift model, which looks very rich and full bodied. The new 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee will be on display during the Detroit Motor Show (January 14 to 27).

Jeep Grand Cherokee has received a facelift presented at NAIAS 2013. The American model enjoys a subtle restyling, focused on optical blocks, including a new set of headlights, new LED taillights and a more discreet front grille. The front bumper was also restyled, as in the case of the tailgate and the rear bumper. 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee comes just two and a half years after its market debut of the new generation.
Inside, the air-conditioning controls were changed, and customers can choose between two touchscreen displays for the multimedia system, the standard being a five-inch diagonal display, while higher trim versions offer 8.4-inch display.
2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee gets a new three-spoke steering wheel incorporating paddle shifters, and redesigned dashboard clocks that now integrates a seven-inch central display. The gearshift lever has been redesigned too, strongly inspired from that of the Chrysler 300.
2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee brings several new technological elements. We have an adaptive cruise control with Stop & Go function, air conditioning with automatic dual zone climate control as standard, imminent crash warning system, adaptive headlights, lane departure warning system, an optional Harman Kardon audio system with 19 speakers, Uconnect system for Bluetooth connectivity, that includes several functions of voice control for the mobile phone and navigation. The roof is dressed in suede and the seats and door panels have ambient lighting.
Regarding the technical platform, 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee receives an eight-speed automatic transmission, which incorporates a set of paddles for changing gear, mounted on the steering wheel. Basically, Jeep offers an eight-speed transmission (internally developed) for the 3.6-liter V6 engine, while the 3.0-liter V6, 5.7-liter V8 and 6.4-liter Hemi V8 versions received an 8-speed ZF unit.
A novelty for the 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee sold in the United States is the return of a diesel model, the 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V6 engine developed by Chrysler with 240 horsepower and 420 pound-feet of torque, which provides a combined fuel economy of 30.2 MPG (7.8 liters/100 km) .
