Smart For-Us Concept Design

Smart For-Us concept is actually a mini pick-up, able to inspire a feeling of solidity and robustness.

It is 11.6 feet long (3.55 meters), 4.95 feet wide (1.51 meters), 5.6 feet tall (1.70 meters) and has a wheelbase of 8.13 feet (2.48 meters), with 24.13 inches (613 mm) higher than the sedan, the new Smart For-Us Concept is able to provide a load area of 35.43 inches (900 mm), sufficient to carry two bicycles.

The exterior lines of the For-Us Concept lead to a future “Spartan” Smart, having masculine lines, square headlamps and a powerful profile.

Inside, aluminum combines with pearly white painted surfaces, while the dashboard is used to circulate air in the cabin. A novel solution is to use a next-generation mobile phone as a mirror, the images being transmitted to it through a camera.

Smart For-Us Concept Engine

Under the bonnet, the futuristic design of Smart For-Us Concept unveils an electric motor with 73 horsepower (54.4 Kw / 74 PS) and 96 lb/ft (130 Nm) about which Smart claims it provides exceptional acceleration halves.

The unit, kept alive by a 17.6 kWh battery pack, also guarantees a maximum speed of 79 mph (126 km/h).
