The 341 HP are enough for a top speed of 163 mph (262 km/h) and the acceleration from 0 to 62 mph (100 km/ h) is made in 5.5 seconds.
Audi Q3 Vail Concept Design
Audi Q3 Concept Vail comes with a bodywork with flared wings and plastic protective elements similar to those we met on the Audi sw Allroad versions. The sportive side is accentuated by the exterior aluminum elements such as sills and trim projectors. The concept shown by Audi at Detroit Auto Show 2012 came in matching red with the20 inch alloy wheels.
The official press release says that Audi Q3 Vail could become a series version of the smallest SUV in the range. It addresses the alpine sports lovers and for that the Q3 Vail comes with a roof transport system for skis and snowboards. In this support has been integrated LEDs that can illuminate the area around the car.
The interior of the Audi Q3 Vail Concept is dominated by three colors: black, gray and red. Everywhere we find Alcantara leather, Nappa and aluminum inserts. The interior items are typical of the brand from Inglolstadt but there are some interesting details.
Audi Q3 Vail Concept is equipped with two LED flashlights that can be charged in the center console storage space. The flashlight incorporates an infrared element which helps heating the hands or a pair of ski boots. The same technology is used for a thermos that it’s found between the two front seats. This may keep a drink hot or cool it down as the driver desires.
Another smart solution is a heated carpet found in the trunk. This may be used to protect the edge of the trunk when it is loaded with luggage. Also, the heated carpet can be used as a surface that skiers can sit on the trunk’s edge when preparing their equipment, for example.
