Detroit Auto Show opens the ball on the novelties in the automotive world of 2012. Here are the Top 10 most important Premieres in Detroit. Detroit Auto Show 2012 (North American International Auto Show – NAIAS 2012) is the first important event of the year. It opens the series of large Auto Shows and it’s a barometer of the U.S. automobile industry. Although Detroit itself is a city sad and gloomy, the auto show held here is pretty bright. Lincoln, the luxury brand of Ford has brought at Detroit Auto Show 2012 (North American International Auto Show – NAIAS 2012), its new Lincoln MKZ Concept. This concept prefigures a future luxury sedan for the U.S. market. Lincoln brought at Detroit Auto Show its luxury sedan concept named MKZ. Lincoln officials have said that this concept could go into production starting this year. If this is confirmed, it will be a big step forward in the U.S. for Ford’s luxury brand. Toyota presented the new Scion FR-S Racer at Detroit Auto Show 2012 (North American International Auto Show – NAIAS 2012), an American interpretation of the GT-86 coupe developed in cooperation with Subaru, made especially for drift competitions.
