GRIDhas been well received by many video game critics for several reasons. The racing video game, according to critics, took into account the details of race tracks, vehicles and secondary features that can affect a race. The official Xbox Magazine praised the developers of the game for abandoning the traditional style of a racing game to focus on racing itself.
Series game “Race Driver” from Codemasters those always tried to focus on the driver, not racing. Grid inherits and continues the series of simulator driving, giving you the opportunity to try the skill of the circuits on three continents, in Europe, the United States and Japan. You can operate as freelancer driver for your own team, will conclude contracts of sponsorship and will buy fast cars, but most importantly – you’ll let your adrenaline to speed up the veins before the next turn, when you enter a little too hard.
The main goal of the game is to grow your reputation as a racing driver and earning money so you could buy even faster racing cars and become the most feared. You will be paid for wins, the contracts signed with sponsors and membership of the winning team. The game never ceases to be a real challenge, especially the degree of realism to the world of Race Driver is very high, so opponents do not ever miss a chance to push you into a wall. Moreover, a violent collision side can get out of the final race, situation where you can call the game flashback system. This system allows you to stop and rewind time to when you were wrong, having a new chance to address a turn for those who like a classic race: “flashback” use is entirely optional.
The Grid cars are easy to control, sometimes the pilot is forgiven for certain errors, however, it’s pretty difficult to keep a real challenge, system damage and aggressiveness compensates excellent opponents. Minor collisions will affect the car’s appearance (body parts flying everywhere, broken windscreen), but the pilot will be able to continue running. Major impacts will change worrisome performance car, so do not wonder if, after a serious accident steering will not steer where you want or if speed is no longer what it was. Of course, the machine can give everything and then you will be removed from the race.
Making the most impressive of the game is on artificial intelligence, which adds realism and atmosphere of competitive track. While going in unison, drivers will not wait long to begin to take risks in battle for supremacy on the track. Platoon leaders will lead very defensive, hard pressed by the aggressiveness of other drivers. Whichever difficulty level you choose, your opponents will prove to be some opponents feared.
Representing and a continuation of the series Race Driver and a rewrite to the same time, Grid is definitely the game to which you can’t indifferently pack engine, provided you are a true racing driver.
