The facelift surgery made by Mercedes for the CL coupe affected, as expected, the AMG class: CL63 and CL65 will get the same smiley face as CL.
After the presentation of the first pictures of CL facelift two weeks ago, Mercedes talked today about performing the same operation for the AMG versions of the coupe’s. Available in two super versions CL63 AMG and CL 65 AMG, the new Mercedes models will have the same changes made on standard version of the CL.
The entry-level model will have the new 5.5-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine developed by AMG, able to deliver a total of 544 horse power and 800 Nm of torque. The new version will also bring 19 inch wheels signed by AMG and four double discharges in a square shape.
The most powerful version of the coupe from Stuttgart will remain CL65 AMG, which will keep the 6.0 liter bi-turbo V12 engine, able to send a total of 620 horsepower and an impressive torque of 1000 Nm . The model is individualized by 20-inch AMG wheels and oval exhaust pipes, four in number.
