The official website of Subaru just announced a “cool feature” for the owners of this fine Japanese manufacturer They give out FREE CAR STICKERS to anyone that ownes a model created by them! You own one? Well, all you have to do is order online one of these stickers. The Subaru owners can get the free car sticker only after an online order, and till now, more than 1000 requests were made. This idea belongs to their new campaign for rewarding the customers. The left side of the symbol will contain a number depending on how many Subaru cars he owned, followed by the sign chosen. The lucky drivers can choose from up to 12 designs that symbolize sports or hobbies. These are: Snow Sports, Outdoor Sports, Biking, Animals, Gardening, Love, Environment, Music Arts, Mechanical, Performance, High Mileage and of course, LGBT. To receive one of these stickers, the Subaru owners must complete a form with personal data but also with the identification number of the car, which is the safety measure imposed by the Japanese manufacturer. If you are too happy after reading this, let me tell you something else: they only do shipment for US. Mark Webber was on his way to third consecutive victory when, with only 18 laps before finnish, it was attacked by his teammate from Red Bull Racing – Sebastian Vettel who lost control of the race car and hit Webber by mistake. After the crash between the two Red Bull teammates, Vettel was forced to abandon, and Webber dropped 3rd. The incident allowed Lewis Hamilton to pass him in front of the race and eventually win the Grand Prix of Turkey, not prior to withstand a furious attack from his teammate Jenson Button. Finally, McLaren Mercedes signed a double win, while the podium was completed by Mark Webber. Mercedes GP took place in 4th and 5th by Michael Schumacher and Nico Rosberg, who, like Robert Kubica (Renault, 6th) and Felipe Massa (Ferrari, 7th) made an anonymous race. Gone from the 12th place on the starting grid, Fernando Alonso finished 8th at the end and won a single duel on the track in front of Vitaly Petrov, with only two rounds before the final. Ferrari ends so disappointing the race with the number 800 in Formula 1, while Adrian Sutil took two points finishing on 9. Formula 1 Turkey Grand Prix 2010 will take place in Istanbul Park Race Circuit. The Istanbul Racing Circuit is located on the Asian side of Istanbul, 6 km from the junction of Kurtkoy on the north side of TEM Motorway, linking Istanbul to Ankara and it is close to the newly-constructed Sabiha Gokcen Istanbul Airport. The total area allocated for the is 2,215,000 m2. The track which runs counter clockwise is 5378 m long with an average width of 15 m, excluding runoff areas. The track is consisted of 13 curves of which 6 are right turns and 7 are left turns. The start and finish section is 655,5 m long. The track runs over 4 level sections with rising and descending grades. The track is brainchild of Herman Tilke, also responsible for racetracks at Sepang, Bahrain and Shanghai. General Motors (GM) announced that it has produced at its factory in Louisiana the last copy of H3. Hummer brand would be liquidated. The story of one of the mark representing the U.S. in the global auto industry officially ended. General Motors has announced that its plant in Shreveport (Louisiana) produced the last Hummer H3, representing the termination of this landmark American brand. Although GM gave a chance to the brand, trying to sell it, repeated negotiations with various interested parties have failed in the end, the only viable solution is seen by officials as the group company’s liquidation. During the time GM has been under bankruptcy protection, in the year 2009, Hummer production was discontinued, but company officials have resumed H3 model production after they received an order for 849 cars to fleets. Hummer brand became known initially because the production contract that Americans had with the U.S. Army, the first product is the manufacturer of the overseas military High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle (Humvee). Germans from Daimler could collaborate with the Japanese from Toyota for the development and production of hydrogen powered vehicles. Cooperation between the two giants is at least interesting, since both have worked with Tesla at a time – the technology acquired by Daimler for the Smart electric version in exchange for shares(market stock) in Tesla, and Toyota has just started working with people from Tesla. The two world-renowned manufacturers want to minimize the development costs of cars that will take some time and the technology they will use. Cooperation between Toyota and Daimler is the first project of this scale between the two manufacturers. Fuel cells – how do they work: they use a reaction between oxygen and hydrogen to produce electricity in a process that does not emit gases that contribute to global warming. German Corporation has already developed fuel cell vehicles powered by them, but development and production costs of these vehicles are too high because they make return in the near future. Even those at Toyota have estimated that it will go another 10 years before this technology will be offered to the public. Toyota is investigating fuel cell technology since 1992, and Daimler made the first steps in this area in 1994. German manufacturer has already invested more than one billion euros (1.23 billion dollars) in projects to develop fuel cell technology for mass production.
