Mercedes S-Class Convertible: First official sketch

The German car manufacturer Mercedes-Benz has released the first official sketch of the new Mercedes S-Class Convertible, the variant with a folding fabric roof, which is expected to officially debut at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show.

Mercedes will have a very busy stand at Frankfurt, the largest salon in the European end of the year. In addition to the announced C-Klasse Coupe already, Mercedes prepares and the world debut of the new S-Class Cabriolet, the convertible version of its flagship.

The house was already anticipated a sketch published by Mercedes officials, who said S-Class Convertible will be the first flagship genuine four-seater 1971 to the present.

The new S-Class Convertible will use a fabric folding roof, which promises to copy coupe body shape and will not add many kilograms in total weight. However, to hide the canvas roof, the trunk line will be somewhat longer, and the proportions will change little.

Regarding the range of engines, they will be taken from almost all coupe brother. No S63 and S65 versions AMG performance will not miss the portfolio, but they will make an appearance later in the course of next year. All engines will be offered as standard with rear drive, but optional, it will be found and wheel drive system 4MATIC.
