Chevrolet Orlando is revealed in Paris
MPV’s first Chevrolet in Europe will be unveiled at the Paris Motor Show World on 30 September. Chevrolet Orlando will be one of four world premieres at this salon Chevrolet.
Chevrolet Orlando is a family car with 7 seats and a crossover design. The car is based on the concept presented by Chevrolet at Paris in 2008 and sits on the same platform with the Chevrolet Cruze.
The new compact MPV Chevrolet adopt a more daring, with a lowered roof line and a silhouette inspired by the crossover model. Chevrolet’s front design but keeps Orlando Chevrolet radiator grille is easy to recognize an element of family which includes monocab.
Chevrolet Orlando is drawn with prominent passages for wheelchair designed with wheels 16, 17 or 18 inches.
Under the hood monocab Chevrolet has three engines: a 1.8-liter gasoline engine with an output of 141 hp and two diesel units, the newest version of Chevrolet’s 2.0-liter engine that develops 131 hp or 163 power hp.
Customers can choose between three levels of equipment with standard equipment for all vehicles, including electronic stability control, six airbags, air conditioning and electrically operated mirrors.
Mass production of the Chevrolet Orlando begins in October and will begin sales in Europe in early 2011.
Wayne Brannon, president and general manager of Chevrolet Europe said: “The new MPV Orlando began an ambitious launch of seven products, which will run over the next 15 months.”
