BMW 7 Series will get the facelift in 2019

BMW 7 Series will receive a facelift in 2019, according to sources in the company quoted by BMW Blog. The Germans are also preparing to launch a new hybrid model – 745e, which will develop about 395 horsepower.
The sixth and the newest generation of the 7 Series was launched in 2015, with BMW’s sales of more than 1.6 million units since 1977.

The BMW flagship is now preparing to receive a facelift, scheduled to start production in March 2019, according to sources in the company.

Changes at aesthetic level will be minor, with important BMW’s preparations to be made at the technological level.
According to the mentioned sources, BMW is preparing to replace the 740e hybrid model with the 745e, which would benefit from greater power.
BMW 740e features a 2.0-liter, 4-cylinder in-line turbocharger that delivers 258 horsepower and a torque of 400 Nm (295 lb/ft) between 1,250 and 4,800 rpm and is accompanied by an electric motor of 95 horsepower and 250 Nm (185 lb/ft). In this combination, the total power of the system reaches 326 horsepower, while the full electric autonomy is up to 40 km (25 miles).

The new BMW 745e is expected to keep the 2.0-liter turbocharger, the power of the electric motor will be increased so that the unit develops a total of 395 horsepower.

The batteries will be more compact, with a higher power storage capacity, similar to the i3 and i3S models.
