Audi manages to attract attention from his direct rivals in the premium saloon segment by presenting a ultrasport versions of the A8 – the new Audi S8 Plus gets from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 3.8 seconds.
Caught in the relatively recent launch contrepied Mercedes-Benz S-Class and BMW 7 Series, the Audi sport relies on presenting versions of the A8 sedan in the hope that they can attract customers interested in models in this segment. And, at least until a new generation A8 future, this strategy is paying off interest.
The new Audi S8 Plus, officially announced today the German brand is one of the results of the Germans counter strategy. With a more potent TFSI V8 engine with no less than 85 horsepower S8 compared to the “normal”, the new S8 Plus comes a call with a 4.0-liter TFSI V8 engine that now develops 605 hp and 700Nm torque can climb to a maximum of 750 Nm with overboost function. As a comparison, no other Audi‘s current line of Germans not reach similar figures of torque.

The transmission offered on the new Audi S8 Plus is an eight-speed Tiptronic pushing power to all four wheels via quattro drive system. Additional changes touch both suspension and steering and brakes, all tailored to meet the dynamic requirements of the German model.
